Low grade electrical current

I replaced a wall switch with a regular on/off type switch because our light continued to flicker and go out. I decided to replace the light fixture also, and now it seems I have a small amount of current
even though the switch is in the off position! What did I do incorrectly?

'93 Buick LeSabre - Blown Fuse, Or Something Else?

I have an older '93 Buick LeSabre, which is generally in pretty good shape mechanically. Last week I drove it to work and when I went to drive home that night, the car started normally, but when I turned on the headlights, the dashboard light lit up briefly and then went out. I managed to get home okay, although I later discovered that my tail lights/brake lights were no lit (although I think the actually brake lights were illuminating when braking).

Of some diagnostic significance, was that when I shut off the vehicle and got out of the car, the warning chime was sounding, as it would if you had left your keys in the ignition or left the headlights on (and yes, I had my keys and the lights were off).

I pulled the fuse for the tail lights from the under dash fuse block, but the fuse was still intact. I pulled a number of other fuses (but not all . . .), and didn't see any of those fuses blown. I'll admit that I'm confused about what's going here. I would have guessed the problem was fuse-related, but now I'm not sure. Any next steps or further diagnostics others would suggest?

Is 100 amp single phase service enough?

I'm considering opening a food service kiosk in a mall. They can only provide 100 amp single phase service AND the service can't be upgraded. Because I'm still assessing the location I haven't yet hired an electrician. Below is a list of the electrical equipment I need to operate, which I calculated to draw 14,700 watts if everything is used all at once. How can I know if the power supply is enough to operate the business? I have conflicting advice from several sources and now I'm stuck. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Primary Power Requirements Amps Volts Watts
Water Heater (under sink) 12.5 120 1500
Sanitizer (under counter) 12.5 120 1500

Electrical Wiring Question

I have a single pole light switch controlling a light in the bathroom. Three wires are in the box. White, black and ground. The white is the hot wire and the black the neutral. I want to add another switch to control 2 recess lights I added. Can I feed off the current white hot with a pig tail to the other new switch. How would I wire this?

4 recessed lights and 3 pendants on 1 light switch.

Currently have fluorescent lighting in kitchen controlled by 1 light switch. Would like to add 4 dimmable led recessed lights along with 3 pendant lights. All controlled by the original light switch.
Question: Would it be possible to separate the control the light switch has over the recessed lights? For example, turn on all lights but have the option of turning off the recessed lights but leave the 3 pendant lights on? Would adding a wireless switch kit to the recessed lights be possible?

Current in Transformer Body earthing?

Frost control

I'd like to instal something that would stop a 3 phase pressure washer from starting if the hoses were frozen. Can anyone advise?

Behaviour of electrical elements

Some electrical elements act linearly and some don't. Ohm's law is not applicable for non-linear elements. I know that but what is the stuff that differentiate the two? I mean why do elements behave linearly or non-linearly? What is the phenomena or parameter that affects the linear or nonlinear behaviour?
Help me please.

Water pump contains electricity but no short circuit?

I have a crystal ball spinning on water using a water pump but when i touch the water i get electric shock. Just wondering why doesn't the appliance short circuit? If theres electricity means the wire came in contact with the water so why doesn't my house power supply trip automatically?
